Program overview

WHU's MSc Program is perfectly structured to equip you with management-specific competencies as well as excellent teamwork and responsible leadership capabilities.

Seven elective specializations allow you to compose the program according to your personal interests. Specializations are offered across all core business areas: Accounting & Control, Economics, Finance, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Marketing & Sales, Strategy & Organization and Supply Chain Management.

Within the courses of the Core Module you will deepen your competencies in Leadership, Research Methods, Ethics, Business Analysis and Management Theories. As a compulsory course of the core module, the Business Game will foster your integrative and strategic understanding of different business and functional areas in a company.

The integrated internship provides you with the opportunity to put your knowledge and competence to real business. The period of study abroad conveys international academic approaches and perspectives. For some of the MSc participants, this study abroad also sets the stage for earning a double degree at a chosen partner university.

Program structure

The WHU Master of Science is a full-time program that starts at the beginning of September each year. The Program is taught entirely in English.

The MSc Program starts with two Study Sections on WHU campus. You will either enroll in a Specialization Track, which allows you to deepen your knowledge in two of the specializations available, or in a General Management Track in which you will combine courses from each specialization. In both tracks, your core competencies will be strengthened in the Core Module. At the end of Study Section II, you will gain valuable work experience by completing an internship.

In Study Section III, you will spend one exchange semester abroad at one of WHU’s more than 170 high-profile partner universities. The master thesis will complete your studies.

Exchange programs

As practical and international competence is crucial for a business leader, the MSc Program comprises both an integrated internship and a study semester abroad.

Our students have access to a unique network of more than 170 partner universities and 150 high-level partner companies around the globe.

The double degree option is a special feature of the WHU MSc Program. Participants can earn the full degree of the partner university in addition to the MSc degree from WHU after completing only one additional semester.
